The role 

DSO Building Maintenance provides a repairs and maintenance service to the council’s tenants. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Multi Trade Plumber to carry out all aspects of plumbing and some gas work repairs to occupied, unoccupied properties and public buildings which include communal and external areas to a high standard and in accordance with legislation.

Ideally successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

  • City & Guild Level 3 qualification within Plumbing.
  • CCN1
  • Have knowledge within the Plumbing field, including water distribution and waste water disposal in residential properties.
  • Multi Skill Experience.
  • Trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Main responsibilities

Undertake a range of specialist tasks including: 

A full range of plumbing repairs, maintenance and installation work

  • Bathroom suites and associated pipework.
  • W/C pan and cisterns including pipework.
  • Kitchen plumbing requirements (sinks, washing, machines etc.)
  • Soil and surface water drainage systems.
  • Renew waste pipes clear blockages
  • Remove redundant showers and pipework.

Essential qualifications/experience 

  • City & Guild Level 3 qualification within Plumbing.
  • CCN1
  • Have knowledge within the Plumbing field, including water distribution and waste water disposal in residential properties.
  • Multi Skill Experience.
  • Trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
