Income Officer (Leasehold) (Internal Applicants Only)

The Role –

Processing miscellaneous income due to the Council and charging rents in respect of commercial leasehold properties and Council Industrial Units via the financials’ system.

Maintaining the Council’s Debtor System including the dispatch of recovery notices and responding to related enquiries. Administer money owed via direct debit, and processing cheques and returns through the Council’s income cash management system. Calculating and recharging domestic service charges and related right to buy information to provide to the Council’s Legal Department.

About You -

Do you have knowledge of council procedures relating to sold council flats and commercial properties with associated legislation and have worked in a revenues or accountancy environment?

Do you have a working knowledge of software packages, and have experience of cashiering or banking, and possess excellent customer service skills?

Are you able to use IT packages including Microsoft Word and Excel?
